ELITE DIVISION GENERAL INFORMATION
The Elite Division is for athletes whose performances from 2025 or 2026 warrant consideration into the Elite Division (highest level of competition).
- The Elite Division is open to collegians, but is not open to high school or lower grade level athletes with remaining eligibility.
- Collegians who are currently on the active roster of of an “invited collegiate team” must register with their team in the Collegiate Division, but will be automatically placed into the Elite Division if warranted.
In 2026, the Mt. SAC Relays has been selected to be part of the 2026 USA Track and Field Tour and will host World Athletics Continental Tour Silver and Bronze designated events.
- Silver Designation (Category B) – Men’s Decathlon, Women’s Heptathlon
- Bronze Designation (Category C) – Men’s 200M, Women’s 200M, Men’s 400M Hurdles, Women’s 400M Hurdles, Men’s High Jump, Women’s High Jump, Men’s Pole Vault, Women’s Pole Vault, Men’s Triple Jump, Women’s Triple Jump.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION BEGINS ON SUNDAY, MARCH 1, 2026 at 12:01 AM
All Elite Division Athletes will register on Direct Athletics.
- There are two registration sites for the Elite Division:
- All events with the exception of Distance Races
- All Distance Races (1,500M, 5,000M, 10,000M, 3,000M Steeplechase)
- Invited collegiate programs (ONLY) will register through the Invited Colleges Registration Link for ALL of your entries including Elite Division considerations. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER SEPARATELY.

ENTRY MARKS
All running marks submitted must be achieved using a fully automatic timing system (no hand times accepted) and all marks must be verifiable on the TFFRS, DA, World Athletics or USATF performance lists, from 2025 or 2026 seasons ONLY! In the distances (ONLY), comparable events may be used for qualification purposes. In the majority of contested events, Direct Athletics will force or list your best mark.
MINIMUM ENTRY STANDARDS
- There is no minimum standard
- All marks will be verified, rank ordered, and used to fill in the number of available Elite Division entry slots.
- THE ACT OF REGISTERING DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE INTO THE MT. SAC RELAYS AND THERE IS NO REFUND FOR THOSE WHO WHO DO NOT QUALIFY.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Registration fee credit card hold must be completed at the time of entry on Direct Athletics. The actual fee will be charged once the Scratch Deadline had passed (see โDates and Deadlinesโ above).
The Elite Division sections of the 66th Mt. SAC Relays, presented by NIKE, will be contested on Wednesday, April 15th through Saturday, April 18, 2026. Schedule will closely mimic 2025 schedule.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Mt. SAC Relays will be contested regardless of weather conditions. There are no refunds due to inclement weather, acts of God, police or fire department closure or any other circumstances beyond our control. The Mt. SAC Relays reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule the event without refund.
MEET DAY INFORMATION
PARKING
- There is no charge for marked team buses or vans. If arriving in a van, please let the parking staff know you are an โInvited Team.โ
- All other vehicles will be charged $10.
- Bus parking is ONLY available in Lot F (North side of Temple Avenue).
- Vehicles must adhere to all Mt. SAC Parking Regulations .

PACKET PICK-UP
All Elite Division Entries will pick-up their bibs/information under their affiliation at the Team Packet Pick-Up Office.
PACKET PICK-UP IS OPEN 2 HOURS PRIOR TO THE FIRST EVENT OF EACH DAY AND REMAINS OPEN UNTIL THE LAST EVENT.

- The Team Packet Pick-Up Office is located east of the stadium box office, at the North end of stadium, at Gate 2.
- If you are a collegiate athlete, in the Elite Division, your bib will be in your college/universities packet.
- Closest parking location is Parking Lot F (North side of Temple Avenue).
- Use the tunnel that runs beneath Temple Avenue and connects Lot F and the stadium front gate / box office.
- If you received a ticket/parking pass you will enter the stadium at the South West corner (outside) of the stadium. You will then need to proceed to the Packet Pick-Up Office for your bib number and additional information.
- All athletes, coaches and support personnel MUST BE WEARING their wristband, or purchase a ticket, prior to entering the stadium.
- There is direct access into the stadium if you park in the Champions Parking Structure.
- You must enter the Stadium Front Gate (North end of stadium, Gate 3) if you parked in the Gateway Parking Structure or in Lot F.
- Tents may only be set-up in marked areas behind the scoreboard in designated areas or in the upper level of the East Bleachers.
EVENT CHECK-IN/DECLARATION
- FIELD EVENT ATHLETES
- Check-in with the official at your field event site 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the event.
- General warm-up for field event athletes should take place outside of the competition venue at the practice track.
- RUNNING EVENT ATHLETES
- Check-In/Declaration
- The Clerk of the Course and the Hipping Area is located behind our scoreboard at the south end of the track.
- Check-in at the CLERK OF THE COURSE and DECLARE your intention to run 30-60 MINUTES prior to the start time of your race.
- A coach may โdeclareโ for their athlete at the Clerk of the Course.
- Athletes or Relay Teams who fail to check-in/declare, at the Clerk of the Course, 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of their race, will be scratched and an alternate will be placed in their spot.
- Relay Teams must declare the 4 runners running in their Relay, by submitting a Relay Card to the Clerk, at this time
- Hipping
- The ATHLETE/RELAY TEAM (only the athlete or relay team) must report back to the HIPPING area 15 minutes prior to the start of the event to receive their heat/lane assignment and hip number.
- Athletes should be prepared and ready to race when entering hipping.
- From Hipping, athletes will be escorted out to the start line.
- Check-In/Declaration
CLERKING/COMPETITIONS DETAILS TO BE AWARE OF
- Athlete heat and lane change WILL occur if there are scratches or a competitor fails to declare.
- Final heat and lane assignments will be assigned, on meet day, in hipping area.
- Please be aware that depending on the number of sections, there may be some slight time changes to the schedule. Please check runmtsac.com for FINAL TIME SCHEDULE.
- Once competitors have entered the stadium, all applicable USATF/World Athletics rules must be adhered to and this includes the use of all electronic devices including head phones, cell phones and meta glasses.
- Shoe Check will be done at hipping. Athletes must wear approved shoes (World Athletics Approved List) or must have WA approval in accordance of Regulation 7 of the Athletic Shoe Regulations for medical/safety reasons.
- NCAA Field Limits will also be adhered to. 1,500M=12, 5,000M=24, 10,000M=48, 3K Steeplechase=18
- Preferred Lane Order = 5-6-4-7-3-8-2-9-1
- No needle or pin spikes allowed on the track.
- Omni-Lite, pyramid or Christmas tree, spikes up to 1/4โณ in length are allowed on the Hilmer Lodge Stadium Track.
- Markers โ Only white athletic tape may be used to place marks on the track/runways. No chalk, duct tape or permanent markers may be used as a mark.
- USADA Drug Testing will be in place
USATF TOUR
THE MT. SAC RELAYS IS PART OF THE 2026 USATF TOUR!
- USATF is the sponsor of the World Athletics (WA) Silver and Bronze Level Events and will handle all prize money distribution
- Due to the designation of being a WA silver or bronze event, these fields may be limited in numbers and harder to qualify for than in the past.
