Mt. SAC Relays alum shine brightly at Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Overall, MSR athletes win 42 medals, including 15 gold medals
The track & field competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics was quite simply thrilling, engaging and inspiring. Over ten days of competition from July 30 to August 8 in Olympic Stadium, three world records, 12 Olympic records, 28 area records and 151 national records were set in these history-making Games.
In Tokyo, there were 196 teams with more than 1,900 athletes competing in 48 events. A record 83 teams reached finals with 43 teams reaching the medal podium and 23 of those winning gold.
Mt. SAC Relays champion, record holder and fan favorite Allyson Felix capped her Olympic career with her 10th and 11th medals (7 gold), becoming the most decorated female track & field athlete ever!
