At the Champs Sports Cross Country West Regional, formerly Foot Locker / Eastbay, the “Best of the West” return to the historic Mt. SAC 5K cross country course on Saturday morning, December 3, 2022 (first heat, 7:05am). High school races are open to all U.S. high school students (male and female, grades 9–12) who will have not reached his/her 19th birthday before August 1, 2022.

The top 10 high school finishers per gender will qualify for the 43rd Champs Sports Cross Country National Finals, the longest running high school cross country National Championship series in the country, at Balboa Park in San Diego on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

PARTICIPATING STATES: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and U.S. citizens in Overseas Military Installations

There will also be an Open 5K race for any runners NOT in high school.
